Talmadge and his mother delivered the Lakeland Ledger to my family many years ago. His mom and my mom were friedns. When I got married for the second time we attended the same church he and his wife attended. He had his own kind of humor. I could never tell when he was kidding or serious so I tried not to react to what he said one way or another. He was one of the good guys and died way to soon.
Talmadge mellowed out as he matured. I met him at a Mustang/Shelby show about 1990 and he was a warm, friendly guy. Had his son with him and I could tell father and son had a strong, healthy connection. Seeing him then was a real pleasure.

Talmadge was our motorcycle guy back at LHS, riding a Harley Sportster as I recall. He wound up having a successful prosthetics business in Lakeland.
