Jan was born in Thomasville, GA on May 19, 1945 to J. Lamar and Frances Woodward Blanton and moved to Lakeland in 1950.  After graduation from LHS Jan attended the School of Nursing at Johns Hopkins University then returned to Lakeland and married Frank D. Anglin in October 1965.  She was a founding member of Crossroads Baptist Church.

Jan was an avid reader, enjoyed working crossword puzzles, traveling the United States and abroad, and spending time with family.  Special family gatherings included the Blanton Family Reunion in Cairo, GA and the Anglin Family Reunion in Roanoke, AL.

Her parents, a daughter, Sandra Anglin Satterwhite, and her brother, F. Lamar Blanton, all preceded Jan in death.  She is survived by her husband of 49 years Frank Anglin, son Craig Anglin and wife Amy of Orlando, two grandsons Oliver and Sawyer Anglin, son-in-law David Satterwhite of Roanoke, AL, brother Roger Blanton and wife Marcia of Lakeland, brother Kemp Blanton of Tampa, and brother Carey Blanton and wife Julie of Lakeland.

Jan died August 2, 2014 and is buried at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lakeland, FL.  Cause of death was dementia.

Jan and I attended all the same schools.  She was alway polite and considerate of others.  After graduation I lost track of her and many others I went to school. with.  There should be more people like her in the world.      Equilla (Quill) Hicks Holdridge

Jan's daughter Sandra and my daughter Jennifer were very close friends.  When Sandra passed, Jan and her husband Frank were there along with Jennifer.  Both will be missed by everyone.
